The VP Operations, Quebec is responsible for leading programs and processes of 6 facilities and roughly 700 salaried and unionized employees location in a multi site environment. You will champion continuous improvement, change management and standardization of policies. As a member of the leadership team, this position will provide strategic guidance on capital expansion or consolidation as well as organizational initiatives to strengthen the continued long-term success of the Company.
• Must possess a proven track record of producing superior results through people and processes a minimum of 10 years in a progressive fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a multi facility environment ideally within the food and beverage sector.
• Experience in a senior leadership role overseeing large scale projects
• Had led major strategic programs including plant expansions, product transfers, plant consolidations, etc.
• Experience within a unionized environment
• Develop operating budgets, manage capital expenditures and oversee cost reduction programs which are consistent with the short and long-term strategy of the organization.
• Strong and consistent communicator, upwards, across and down, with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across a matrix organization
• Negotiation skills with demonstrated results in influencing positive and measurable change.
• Communicate openly and often with cross-functional management staff to evaluate operational needs, resolve issues, reset direction and maximize effective interactions
• Implement a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of operations.
